Ingredients: 1 package of Crummies, 1 medium-large red onion , 1 can diced tomatoes (optional), Cooking Oil of your choosing, 1 package of Taco Seasoning, 16 oz of vegetable stock(you can also use water), all the rest of the fixings;cheese, sour cream (I use greek yogurt instead), lettuce, fresh diced tomatoes, salsa, etc. If making into Nachos, simply add your ingredients on top of the chips with cheese and broil for minutes at a time, never leave your nachos unattended in the oven!
Step 1-Thaw your Crummies
Step 2-Sautee a chopped Red Onion adding a little Olive Oil to the pan.
Step 3- Add the Crummies and Sautee for about 3 minutes stirring frequently to make sure the Crummies are well heated through.
Step 4- Add your favorite taco seasoning along with Water, or I prefer Vegetable Stock. Add about 1 Cup of at a time. Amounts can very depending on consitency preferences and package instructions. This is where you can also add a can of diced tomatoes if you would like. Tip- Make sure you account for the added moisture in this step.
Step 5- Let the mix reduce and simmer for about 5 minutes on low heat. This allows all the flavors to combine and the mixture to thicken slightly.
